Thruport Technologies More Than Doubles Capacity With Data Center Expansion

ALEXANDRIA, VA, December 5, 2003 - Thruport Technologies, a leading Internet hosting and solutions provider, today announced that it has successfully expanded its data center to more than twice its previous size. This increased capacity will allow Thruport to meet the ever-growing demand for its hosting and Internet software services.

In a climate where many other Internet hosting businesses are cutting back on services and support and sometimes even shutting down, Thruport has been able to succeed and grow its business thanks to its solid financial position and its attention to customer's needs. With the new data center expansion, Thruport will be able to add thousands of new servers.

In addition to the data center expansion, Thruport is moving ahead with implementing expansion of its network. Thruport engineers are also currently hard at work replacing Cisco CPU-based routing technology with Juniper Networks ASIC-based technology, which will allow Thruport to accomodate more performance-sensitive applications such as multi-user Internet gaming, ad serving and mobile applications on an unprecedented scale, without sacrificing Quality of Service. Thruport will also be able to offer different network Quality of Service packages to their customers, giving them the best combination of price and performance based on their specific hosting needs.
